Set Type 1 - Union Set



What is Union Set?
-   Union Set is a set of elements of A and B which are in the set A or set B or both.

Question:
-   You have 7 different types of colors:
·         A = {Red, Orange, Pink, Green, Blue}
·         B = {Red, Blue, Indigo, Violet }
How to solve them into Union set and illustrate them in Venn diagram?

Answer:
 -  There are 2 Sets: A and B. We can list the 7 colors into Set A OR Set B OR Both. This is called a   
     "Union" sets and has the special symbol .

-   So, the Union Set will be:


-   We can draw the Venn diagram for the 7 colors into Set A and Set B (or both). The Venn diagram is drawn as follows:

The above Venn diagram shows a union set for the 7 types of colors. It includes all the 7 colors arranged inside both Set A and Set B to become a set called as Union Set.
